There’s one valid reason why we call these convocations and graduation ceremonies “Commencement Exercises.” Graduation is not the end, it is the beginning. Last March 29, 2011, TCAPS officialy ended the schoolyear 2010-2011 with a commencement exercises dubbed “The Graduate: A Partner Towards Transformational Society. An Answer To Societal Change.” It was the end of another learning period for the Grade Six studes as well as the Preps and the commencement of a graduation to another of their level of education. A new beginning for the kids of The Children’s Ark Preparatory School.
The event, held at the Don Antonio Heights Homeowners Association Clubhouse, was graced by Dr. Zenaida Asidao from the DepEd together with TCAPS President Atty. Danilo B. Vargas and anchored by Teacher Giselle R. Cecilio.
One of the highlights of the event was the oral address by Valedictorian Ohmer Bautista and Salutatorian Shaine Cariño who were both acclaimed for their outstanding efforts and success in their academics.
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
You’re on your own.
And you know what you know.
You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
~Dr. Seuss
Just what is a schoolteacher: The flight of the learner begins with a teacher who believes, who tugs and pushes and leads the learner to the next plateau, sometimes poking him with a sharp stick called “truth.”
There are two lasting gifts parents can give their children. One is roots and the other is wings.
Congratulation!!! You made as all very proud of you….
